If I could wave a magic wand and make one single change to our government, it would be non-partisan re-districting of all legislative seats at the national, state, county, and local levels of government. Just imagine if both parties had to equally compete for every legislative district and truly try to win the hearts and minds of all Americans instead of simply get out the vote in their own safe districts? There must be a permanent end to gerrymandering everywhere. It is Un-American, and we are better than that. We should all want to win based on the content of our argument and not on the shape of our district.
