The American love affair with the automobile will probably never completely go away, but I would love to see us develop an extensive bullet train system criss-crossing our country and eventually extending all throughout North America, Central America, and South America through partnerships with those nations.
Further to the discussion of renewable energy sources under the Dept of Energy, we also need the DOT to keep pushing for higher mileage per gallon of automobiles and trucks and renewable fuel sources for all vehicles.
